(Pebble Beach, CA) - USF senior Domingo Jojola (Albuquerque) posted a convincing 4-stroke victory at the 2009 Saint Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills, capturing medalist honors in the event for the second consecutive year. Jojola shot a 7-under 209 for the win and made up a one stroke deficit entering Tuesday's final round on the par-72 course playing at 6,863 yards.

Jojola carded a pair of eagles and shared sixth place in the tournament field with 11 birdies. The senior captain shot even-par on par-4 holes, 2-under on par-3s and 5-under on par-5s.

Senior Chris Cunningham finished in a share of 28th place aat 225 (73, 74, 78), but led the field in birdies with 14.

San Francisco posted a seventh place showing at 894 (297, 297, 300) and captured wins against West Coast Conference foes Saint Mary's (902), Loyola Marymount (912) and Portland (912). The Dons were nine strokes from cracking the top-five.

Nevada won the event at 869 (291, 290, 288), four shots in front of Oregon State at 873 (297, 293, 293). San Diego finished third at 881 (287, 294, 294), followed by Denver at 881 (285, 298, 298). UC Irvine rounded out the top-five teams at 885 (296, 296, 293).

San Francisco next competes in the 2010 Spring season when it heads to the Hawaiian Islands to compete in the Hawaii-Hilo Invitational in Mana Lani, HI. The Dons open play in the three-day event Thursday, February 4.
