USF Men's Golf Competes in Purple and Red Invitational

The USF men's golf team will tee off in its second tournament of the fall season at the Purple and Red Invitational Monday and Tuesday, September 19 and 20. The tournament is co-hosted by Weber State and Utah.
The tournament will take place at the Valley View Golf Course in Layton, Utah, a 6,652-yard, par 72 course. The tournament is set to tee off at 8 a.m. Monday with 36 holes, and will wrap up with the final round Tuesday.
"We are looking to gain more valuable experience with our young squad," said Dons' coach Gary Nelson.
The 15-team field includes co-hosts Weber State and Utah, along with Utah State, Boise State, Cal-Riverside, Gonzaga, Idaho, Idaho State, Loyola-Marymount, Sacramento State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, Utah Valley State, and Wyoming.
