USF Men's Golf Closes 2008 Fall Season in Hawaii

(Kaua'i) - USF men's golf is set to tee up its final tournament of the 2008 fall season when it competes in the 2008 Kaua`i Collegiate Invitational beginning Monday, November 5 at the Puakea Golf Course in Lihue, Kaua'i. The event, hosted by the University of Hawaii, runs through Wednesday with 18 holes per day on the par-72 course, playing at 6,954 yards.

San Francisco looks for a strong finish to the fall after turning in a pair of top-five team finishes, highlighted by a team title at the 2008 Saint Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills. The Dons also posted a third place showing at the Giustina Memorial Classic, hosted by Oregon State.

San Francisco opens play Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 AM (PT). Tuesday's second round is set for a 1:00 PM (PT) tee time.

TOURNAMENT FIELD: Boise State, Drake, Gonzaga, Hawai`i, James Madison, Louisiana Tech, Loyola Marymount, Osaka Gakuin, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose State, UC Riverside, Utah, Weber State

TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Each team will play 18 holes per day on the 54-hole event, competing on the par-72 course checking in at 6,954 yards.
