(Stevinson, CA) – USF sophomore Mat Miller (Pleasanton) shot a 4-under 140 and won the 2009 Championship Division of the Inaugural amateurgolf.com Tour Championship Sunday at the Stevinson Ranch Golf Club. Miller shot a 4-under 68 in Saturday’s opening round and then carded an even-par 72 on the course playing at 7,205 yards.

Miller took down a talent-laden field featuring top collegiate players from elite programs such as Cal, UNLV and USC. Sam Smith, Michael Weaver, Derek Ernst and Eric Mina finished two shots back at 142.

USF men’s golf opens the 2010 spring season February 4 in Hawaii when it competes in the UH Hilo Invitational.
