10/16/07 - San Francisco - Santa Clara Rivalry Takes Center Stage
It's a college rivalry almost as old as the NCAA game itself. For 40 years, Santa Clara University and the University of San Francisco have been battling each other for Bay Area bragging rights. Their first meeting came in 1967 -- just eight years after the inaugural College Cup -- and the two teams have met every year since. The latest matchup between the two rivals ended with the No. 5 Broncos earning a 2-1 win over USF last Friday.

One coach was bubbling over with joy; the other was graceful if frustrated in defeat. But both agreed on one thing: they were happy to have brought pro-level soccer to the community of Novato. 11/20/08 - Injury was a good break for USF men's star
A "weird step" that Conor Chinn says he took on the practice field early in the spring turned out to be a giant step for the USF men's soccer team. His foot buckled, and X-rays revealed a stress fracture. He wore a soft cast for a week, then a boot for two months. The injury healed, but the bigger issue was how it cleared his mind.
