(Moraga, CA) - USF men's tennis evened their record to 1-1 with a dominating performance against Saint Mary's, defeating the Gaels 6-1 in West Coast Conference action at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex. Saint Mary's extended the Dons to three sets in just one match at number four singles, won by Mason Fuller.

USF number one Joakim Lien was impressive in his first match in the Green and Gold downing Frank Schmitt 6-1, 6-3. Number two Jorgen Arnesen had little trouble with Arturo Planell, 6-4, 6-3, while Pablo Pires De Almeida also dispatched Thomas Burgemeister 6-4, 6-3.

Saint Mary's got their lone point of the match in doubles, winning at the number one and two spots.

USF returns to action when they compete at the Portland State Tournament, beginning Friday, February 1. The Dons return to WCC play when they face the Pilots of the University of Portland on Sunday, February 3.
