USF Falls To Santa Clara 5-2 In Men's Tennis

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - San Francisco dropped a 5-2 decision in men's West Coast Conference tennis action this afternoon at the SCU Tennis Center. USF falls to 9-5 on the season, while Broncos improve their record to 6-4 on the season. San Francisco recorded wins at number one singles with an impressive 6-4, 6-4 by Joachim Lien, avenging an earlier loss to Chris Lam. Pablo Pires de Almeida won at number three singles 6-4, 6-3 against Victor Camargo. Christian Dyvik dropped a hotly contested match at number five singles 3-6, 7-5, 6-2. The Broncos swept the Dons on the doubles point. USF returns to action when they compete in their third match in three day against Nevada-Reno at the Olympic Club. Match time is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, March 11.
