The USF men's tennis team got its first victory over a ranked opponent this season by defeating Oklahoma 4-2 Wednesday at the Olympic Club. The Dons improved to 13-5 on the season with the victory.

It was a dramatic win for the Dons, who also had to beat an oncoming rainstorm. Axel Elvik did it by winning a tiebreaker at number five 7-5 in the second set just a minute before the rain hit.

USF won the doubles point with wins by the team of Joachim Lien-Mason Fuller winning 8-6 and Jorgen Arneson-Pablo Pires De Almeida winning 8-5.

Joachim Lien defeated Alexei Ivanov 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 at number one, Pablo Pires De Almeida defeated Mah Ogle 1-6, 6-2, 7-6 at number three and Axel Elvik topped Alex Nomicos 7-6, 7-6 at number five. The Dons' Romain Von Rillas was also ahead a set and a break when the rains came at number 6.
