Dons Tennis Wins At Portland, 5-2

The USF men's tennis team continued their fine season with a convincing 5-2 victory over Portland Wednesday at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center in Oregon. USF improves to 14-5 on the season. USF started strong by winning all three doubles matches with Lien/Fuller defeating Borvanov/Borchard 8-6, Lippert/Elvik topping Malacek/Hernandez 8-2 and Arneson/Pires De Almeida (USF) slipping by Ty Garrison/Redpath 9-8. Joachim Lien defeated Peter Malacek 6-0, 6-2 at number one, and Pablo Pires De Almeida continued his strong play topping Quinn Borchard (POR), 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (2) at the two slot. Portland's Roman Borvanov shut-down Jorgen Arnesen, 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 3 singles position before Mason Fuller Clinched the match with a 7-6, 6-2 decision over Ram Hernandez. Portland's James Redpath defeated Axel Elvik, 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 5 spot. The Dons' Ramoin Van Rillas topped Peter Miskovic to finish the match.
