USF Falls to St. Mary's in Conference Play 2-5

(San Francisco) - Host USF Men's tennis team (9-9, 2-3 WCC) fell 2-5 to West Coast Conference opponent St. Mary's (8-9, 1-4). The match was held on April 3 at the California Club in San Francisco.
In the number one position, USF freshman Philip Riise-Hansen extended his singles winning streak to 9 by defeating Martin Marechal 6-3, 7-6 (3). Riise-Hansen teamed with Pablo Pires de Almeida to defeat Gaels' Julien Tizot and Adam Fauvre 8-5.
Dons' Timo Kienle and Falko Huettenberger won their doubles match beating Andre Sion and J.J. Whitlinger 8-5.
USF returns to action 1 pm on April 9 in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
