USF Wins A 5-2 Dual Versus Nevada

RENO, NEV. - On a windy Saturday in the Silver State, the San Francisco men's tennis team (12-6) topped Nevada (3-13) in a non-conference dual by a 5-2 score. USF won two of three matches in doubles to take the opening team point. Falko Huettenberger and Asaf Cohen defeated Laurent Garcin and Augustin Myard, 9-8 (3) at No 1. Thong Tu and Rainer Nachbauer, at No. 2, took down Benjamin David and Guerin Smith, 8-4. In the singles, Tu defeated Garcin 6-4, 6-1 in the No. 1 match and Cohen and Alex Daruty battled to a 7-6, 7-5 final at No. 2. The No. 5 match saw Huettenberger beat Myard 6-3, 6-2. To cap off the dual, Mitch Del Rosario won a three set match versus Cameron Spearman. Del Rosario took the first and third sets in a 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 final score.
