Dons Win 4-3 Over Pacific

STOCKTON, CALIF. - San Francisco men's tennis (13-6) won a dual versus Pacific (9-9) by a 4-3 score Wednesday night at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts. USF claimed the doubles point by winning at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Thong Tu and Rainer Nachbauer defeated Artem Gramma and Vegerd Veskimagi and Mitch Del Rosario and Torin Ching topped David Gonzalez and Pedro Toledo by 8-6 scores. San Francisco clinched the victory by winning singles' matches from No. 4 to No. 6. No. 4 player Einar Hart began the Dons' run by taking Veskimagi in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (9). Falko Huettenberger then defeated Toledo, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5. Del Rosario closed the night with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Chase Oliphant. The Dons close out the regular season with a Sunday dual versus Texas Pan-American at Golden Gate Park. First serve is set for 1 p.m. PDT.
