The USF men's tennis team's rally fell short and they dropped a 4-3 decision to Portland Sunday in Moraga to finish sixth in the West Coast Conference Championships.
The Dons, after dropping the crucial singles point, won three of six singles to fall 4-3 when both Jorgen Arnesen lost 6-4 in the third set of the number two singles. Winning for the Dons were Pablo Pires de Almeida, Christian Dyvik and Mason Fuller.
Pepperdine won the WCC title.
