USF Netters Drop Tough 4-2 Decision to St. Mary's

The USF men's tennis team was defeated by St. Mary's 4-2 in the consolation round of the WCC tournament Saturday and will face Gonzaga for seventh place on Sunday.
It was a heartbreaking afternoon for USF, which was close in all four decisions that they lost, losing three matches in the third set and the other 7-6 in two sets. Pablo Pires de Akmeida won at number one and Falko Huttenberger at number four to record USF's points.
