USF Cross Country At Stanford Invite
Sept. 29, 2001 USF cross-country competed at the Stanford Invitational held at the Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto on Saturday. The USF men's squad finished eighth in the 4,000 meter short course, while the women posted their third straight top-20 finish of the 2001 season with an 18th place showing. Thomas Revane led the way for the men's squad with a 30th place finish in the eight-team field. Revane turned in a time of 12:42, while teammate Rudy Castanon placed 33rd with a time of 12:46. Stanford's Grant Robinson won the event with a 10:54 mark. Marcie Cole was the top finisher for the Lady Dons with a time of 15:01 to place 62nd, while Laura Danner-Baird followed her in 79th place with a time of 15:24. Stanford's Alicia Craig won the 19-team event with an impressive time of 12:40. USF Men's Finishes: 8.
