"I am excited about the opportunity to work with Molly," Hile-Nepfel said. "She is an outstanding teacher of the game and a fierce competitor. Our players will benefit from Molly's playing and coaching experience."

Helping the Dons to the Big Dance: Goodenbour initially joined the Dons staff as the program's first full time assistant prior to the 1994-95 season under co-head coaches Bill Nepfel and Hile-Nepfel. Goodenbour helped USF to their first of three consecutive NCAA tournament berths before departing to pursue a three-year playing career with the Richmond Rage and the Portland Power in the American Basketball League. The Stanford All-American then played for the Sacramento Monarchs in the WNBA's inaugural season of 1999.

"I'm very excited to return to coach at the Division I level," Goodenbour said. "I am excited to be working with Mary again. She and I have a good relationship. It is a great opportunity for me to work with elite student-athletes again and I look forward to the challenges ahead."

Resuming the Coaching Journey in Santa Rosa: After spending four seasons playing professional basketball, Goodenbour returned to the coaching ranks and served as the associate head coach at Santa Rosa Junior College in 2002 before taking over as head coach for the 2003 campaign. Goodenbour guided Santa Rosa to a 24-6 record and a 13-1 record in the BVC, good for a share of the 2004 conference championship. SRJC advanced to the 2004 California Community College Elite Eight. Last season Goodenbour directed Santa Rosa to the No. 3 ranking in the state, captured another league championship after posting a 25-5 record.

A REMARKABLE PLAYING CAREER ON THE FARM: A highly decorated collegiate player, Goodenbour was a starting guard on one of the dominant teams in women's basketball history and helped Stanford to NCAA Championships in 1990 and 1992. During her four year career (1989-93) at the Farm, the Cardinal posted a 114-16 record, including a 62-1 mark at Maples Pavilion. As a junior, Goodenbour captured Final Four MVP honors after setting a NCAA Tournament record for most postseason 3-pointers made (18), and poured in six in the Regional Finals against USC.

Goodenbour litters the Stanford career record book, ranking sixth in 3-pointers (178), assists (441), ninth in free throw percentage (.793). As a senior Goodenbour made 74 threes, the third best single-season mark in program history and tossed in nine threes at Tennessee, the best single-game mark for the Cardinal. The Waterloo, Iowa native was named "Miss Basketball" and earned state Player of the Year honors.

Goodenbour graduated from Stanford in 1993 with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Biology and is pursuing her Master's in Kinesiology at Sonoma State.
