Final Stats

(Los Angeles, CA) - San Francisco fell to Loyola Marymount 65-41 in West Coast Conference Women's Basketball action at Gersten Pavilion on Thursday night. The Dons fall to .500 (14-14, 5-8 WCC), while the Lions improve to 15-13, 7-6 WCC.

Junior guard Shay Rollins led the Dons with 15 points, 12 of which came in the second half, and added two rebounds and two assists. Junior forward Necolia Simmons led on the boards with 10 rebounds. Simmons also put in five points and two assists.

The Lions held the advantage, shooting .480 (24-50) from the floor, .368 (7-19) from 3-Point range, and .667 (10-15) from the line. USF shot .302 (16-53) from the floor, and after shooting 1-8 (.125) from behind the arc in the first half, they shot a much better 6-12 (.500) in the second. LMU barely earned the turnover advantage, 17-18.

LMU had four players in double digits, led by junior forward Jenna Sybesma with16 points. Senior forward Valerie Ogoke and freshman guard Renahy Young had 12, and sophomore guard Lisa Helmers had 11.

USF concludes the regular season in Malibu on Saturday. Tip-off against Pepperdine is set for 2:00 PM.
