FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Ashley Augspurger scored 13 of her 19 points in the second half as No. 19 Colorado State beat San Francisco 76-58 Friday night in the opening round of the preseason WNIT.

Joy Jenkins added 17 points, including three 3-pointers, and had a steal and a basket in an 11-0 run that put Colorado State ahead 42-29 with 16:08 left.

Carey Sauer led San Francisco with 17 points. Jennifer Jones, who along with Toni Russell had 10 points, got the Dons within 48-38 with a basket off an offensive rebound with 11:05 left in the opening game for both teams.

San Francisco never managed to get the deficit under double digits. Augspurger hit a 3-pointer and Jenkins converted two free throws in a 7-0 run that put Colorado State ahead 55-38.

Russell's driving layup with 5:05 left cut the lead to 63-50, but Augspurger put the game out of reach with two layups of her own.

Colorado State led by as many as nine points in the first half as Jenkins scored 10 points. Merisa Leatherman's three-point play and a running layup by Russell got San Francisco within 31-27 by halftime.
