(San Bruno, CA) - Senior guard Dominique Carter earned her fourth consecutive West Coast Conference First Team Selection and junior forward Necolia Simmons earned her first Honorable Mention nod as released by the Conference office today.

Carter becomes just the second four-time First Team selection (2005-08), following former Don Brittany Lindhe (1995-99). Going into the WCC Tournament, he Tracy, CA native leads the conference in 3-point field goal percentage (.532/42-79), is second in free throw percentage (.816/42-79) and third in scoring (17.9). Carter ranks second in USF career scoring and fourth in the WCC charts with 1,782. She has 35 career 20-plus and three 30-plus scoring nights, including a career high 35 against Saint Mary's (1/24/08)

Simmons, a transfer from San Joaquin Delta CC, earned WCC Honorable Mention after a stellar campaign on the Hilltop. The Deer Valley, CA native amassed 11.2 ppg, 85 assists and shot .630 (51-81) from the free throw line, while leading the Dons in rebounds (7.3/212). Simmons earned four 20-plus scoring nights and five double-doubles this season.

USF opens WCC Tournament play on Thursday, March 6 against No. 2 seed Santa Clara. Tip-off with the Broncos is set for noon at the Jenny Craig Pavilion in San Diego.
