Freshman Carey Sauer scored 12 points to lead USF to a 70-53 victory over the NWBL All-Stars. The Lady Dons, showcasing their veteran talent with some impressive newcomers, jumped out to a 35-22 halftime lead, and caused multiple All-Star turnovers in the second half to seal the victory.

Senior Sarah Wanless scored 11 points on the evening, while sophomore Melanie Turner added nine for the Lady Dons. Lindsey Huff, the 1997-98 WCC Freshman of the Year who sat out last season with a knee injury, started the game with a three-point field goal, and finished with eight points in her return.

Former San Diego State star, Crystal Lee, had a game-high 16 points for the NWBL All-Stars. Marlene Henderson, who played at USF from 1990-92, scored six points and grabbed seven rebounds.

USF will next be in action against Slovakia in another exhibition at War Memorial Gym on November 13 at 2:00 PM. They will open up the regular season against the Stanford Cardinal on November 19.
