General Capsule: Extremely strong and athletic... great distance off the tee... fundamentally sound... terrific attitude... very excited about pursuing golf and an education in the United States at USF... named team co-captain for the 2001-2002 season.
At USF (2001): Enjoyed another outstanding spring season for the Lady Dons... after averaging a 79.8 average in the fall, averaged 76.5 in the spring... won individual medalilist honors at the 2001 West Coast Conference Championships (75, 74, 73 - 222) to lead Lady Dons to tremendous upset against #11 Pepperdine... runner-up at the BYU Dixie Classic (76, 73, 78 - 227)... turned in three top-10 finishes... carded 18 rounds in the 70's and only shot two rounds above 80 in the spring... shot even par 72 in the final round at the Pioneer Electric.
2000 NCAA Regionals: Qualified for Regionals after just one semester of competition at USF... one of just six unattached individuals invited to compete... carded a 234 (80, 75, 79).
At USF (2000): Made an instant impact after arriving on the Hilltop... season capped by selection to compete in the 2000 NCAA Regionals... became the second qualifier in program history... ranked second on the team in stroke average (77.27) and turned in five rounds with scores of 75 or lower and carded 13 rounds in the 70's... tied for fourth with a 226 (74, 74, 78) at the San Jose Spartan Invitational - her first tournament with the Lady Dons... tied for sixth at the Lady Aztec Spring Invitational with a 149 (72, 77)... tied for fourth with teammate Susannah Laing at the 2000 West Coast Conference Tournament with a 156 (79, 77)... despite competing just one semester, tied for team lead with 13 rounds in the 70's.
At Universite Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux: Attended university for two years in her native France where she studied Italian and English.
Club Career (France): Attended Lycee Elie Faure High School... played club golf for Bordeaux-Lac from 1993-99... recently signed to play for the Hossegor Golf Club during the Summer of 2000 and competed in the 1999 International German Championships in Berlin... also qualified for the 1999 European Championships in the Czech Republic where she posted rounds of 72, 73 and 76... medallist in the 1998 Deskubra Tournament in Bogata, Colombia where she placed third after firing a 2-under 70 in the final round... played in the 1997 British Girl's Championship in West Kilbride Golf Course in Scotland.
Personal: Emilie Sophie Arnaud... best advice she would give is to study and work hard and your dreams will come true... enjoys cooking, especially creme brulee and chocolate mousse... goals for the season are to succeed in the classroom and qualify to play in all the tournaments... favorite thing about being a student-athlete is the opportunity to study and improve time management while practicing your passion... enjoys the steep streets and cosmopolitan atmosphere of San Francisco... parents are Jean-Paul and Annie Arnaud... born August 26, 1979.
