COACHING CAREER: Enters her first season as an assistant coach for head coach Sara Range. Laing turned in the most highly decorated career in USF women's golf history, propelling the Dons to three consecutive NCAA Regional appearances.

GENERAL CAPSULE: Returns for senior season ready to cap outstanding career with trip to nationals... established team leader... proven big match experience and owns a vast amount of international tournament exposure.

MISCELLANEOUS: Ranked ninth in the country in greens hit in regulation (.712) during the 2001-2002 season... competed on the 2001 NCAA All-Star Team that travelled to China and Japan... was medallist in every round and did not shoot over par during entire excursion.

AT USF (2001-2002): Turned in one of the finest seasons in USF women's golf history as a junior... finished with a #67 ranking in the final GolfWeek standings... led the Lady Dons with 12 rounds at par or better... carded three 71's, a 70 and set a career single-round low with a 69 in the second round of the 2002 NCAA West Regional at the Stanford Golf Course... paced San Francisco with nine top-10 individual finishes, including five in the top-five... placed third in three events - Lady Vandal Fall Invitational (76, 77, 71 - 224), Oregon Duck Invitational (73, 70, 77 - 220), BYU Dixie Classic (72, 71, 72 - 215)... strung together a program record 15 consecutive rounds in the 70's to start the season and also turned in a 12 round streak... named Lady Dons team MVP. AT USF (2000-2001): Enjoyed another outstanding year as a sophomore for USF... posted a 77.57 average to rate second on the team... was individual runner-up at the 2001 West Coast Conference Championship (77, 74, 73 - 224)... fired team-leading four rounds at par or better during the year... placed fourth at the prestigious Peg Barnard California Collegiate (71, 77 - 148)... also finished in fourth at the Rainbow Wahine Fall Golf Classic (78, 72, 75 - 225)... recorded five top-10 finishes and carded 21 rounds in the 70's for the Lady Dons.

AT USF (1999-2000): Made instant contributions in her first year on the Hilltop... carded four rounds in the 70's in her first six rounds as a freshman... placed eighth in the Northern Arizona Invitational with a 155 (82, 73)... USF's top finisher in two tournaments...ranked third on the team with a 79.25 stroke average... tied for 13th at the San Jose State Spartan Invitational with a 229 (76, 76, 77)... tied for team lead with 13 rounds in the 70's... tied for fourth at the 2000 West Coast Conference Tournament with a 156 (76, 80)... tied teammate Emilie Arnaud.

NATIONAL TEAM/PREP CAREER: Member of the Scottish National team in both golf and field hockey from 1996-1999... captain of Scotland Girl's Team competing in the British Open Championship... top UK qualifier in the Daily Telegraph National Competition...West of Scotland Girl's Champion Golfer in 1997-98... excellent all-around athlete who earned Best All-Around Sports Girl at Wellington School... also member of the swim team and tennis squad.

PERSONAL: Susannah Laing... biggest moment in sports was representing Scotland in both field hockey and golf in 1997 and 1999... goal for the season is to shoot for a 74 average... best advice she would give youngsters is to wear sunscreen... enjoys drama and listening to music... parents are Stuart and Lynda Laing... born March 25, 1981.
