At USF (2000-2001): Competed at the 2001 Bay Area Classic during her junior campaign. At USF (1999-2000): Continued to develop and improve as a sophomore... carded back-to-back rounds in the 70's at the San Jose State Spartan Invitational. At USF (1998-99): Competed in seven tournaments in her first season on the Hilltop... shot a low round of 78 at the BYU Invitational... carded a 14th place finish at the 1999 West Coast Conference Championships. Prep Career: Finished in second place at the Nevada High School State Tournament as a senior at Cimarron-Memorial HS... team twice won the state championship in golf... also her team's offensive MVP in soccer... graduated in 1998. Other Golf Highlights: Placed sixth in the AJGA Raulph Lauren Polo Southwestern event. Personal: Amber Michelle Williams... born January 4, 1980... daughter of Mike Williams and Kathy Fortin... lists her biggest sports thrills as a hole-in-one and twice winning the state golf championship in high school... my goal for this season is to improve my game and my average... the best thing about being a student-athlete is it teaches you responsibility and helps you grow as a person... the best advice I've ever been given is to never give up and keep trying.
