USF Women's Golf 14th After Opening Round of Bruin Wave Invitational

(Santa Clarita, CA) – USF women’s golf shot a 312 in the opening round of the inaugural Bruin Wave Invitational Monday at the Robinson Ranch Golf Course and sit in 14th place with 36 holes to play. The Dons look to move up in an elite field featuring no fewer than seven top-25 programs, including five appearing in the top-10, including tournament co-hosts No. 1 UCLA and No. 9 Pepperdine.
Arizona (283) leads the field at 5-under, three strokes in front of the Bruins (286) and USC (286). The Waves shot even par (288), while Washington (292) and Stanford (292) shot 5-over to share fifth place after one round on the par-72 course playing at 6,282 yards.
Senior Christina Stockton is the top Don on the leader board after an opening round 75.
Plying in its first event of the spring season, USF looks to make a move in Tuesday’s second round. The Dons will tee off on No. 10 tee starting at 8:45 AM.
