(Salinas, CA) Katherine Hull of Pepperdine completed a start-to-finish individual victory with a six-under par 66 to lead her team to victory in the SJSU Spartan Invitational women's golf tournament.

Hull, a senior, finished with a 16-under 200 on the par 72, 5,938-yard Corral de Tierra Country Club course. Her 54-hole total is the best 54-hole individual score by a player in NCAA Division I women's golf this season. Earlier this season, Christine Boucher of Kansas State posted a 12-under par score of 204 in her win at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate in Kiawah Island, South Carolina last November.

Hull, the nation's number-one ranked player according to GolfStat, had 17 birdies and two eagles in the tournament including six birdies and an eagle in the final round. She has finished first in three tournaments this season.

Along with her teammate, Lindsey Wright, who finished a distant second at eight-under par 208, Pepperdine overpowered the 14-team field with an 18-under par team score of 846. The Waves were 36 strokes better than second place UCLA, which finished at 882. All five Pepperdine players finished in the top-20 of the 75-player field.

California, third at 890, Arizona State, fourth at 894, and UNLV, fifth at 898, also had team totals below 900.

Host San Jose State tied with the University of San Francisco for tenth place at 923.

Angela Won of UC Irvine was the only other individual to finish under par at two-under 214, 14 strokes behind Hull. UCLA teammates Charlotte Mayorkas and Gina Umeck tied for fourth at 217.

Senior Susie Laing was the top finisher for USF with a share of 25th place after a 227 (77, 76, 74).
