(Kane'ohe, HI) - San Francisco women's golf finished third out of 17 teams in the 2010 Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on Tuesday at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course in Kane'ohe, Oahu. USF shot a final round of 300, and finished with a three-round total of 906 (297, 309, 300), just two strokes shy of first place finisher Rollins College (904).

Senior Christina Stockton (73, 77, 75) was the highest finisher for the Dons, tying for eighth place with Nevada's Eugenia Guerra. Stockton's 225 total was just nine over par for the course.

Four other Dons finished in the top 20 in the tournament. Junior Tinna Johannsdottir (72, 78, 78) tied for 11th at 228, senior Danielle Cvitanov (77, 77, 75) and senior Natasha Podmore (76, 77, 76) shared 14th with a three-round score of 229, and freshman Katrina Hegge (76, 80, 74) finished tied for 17 with a 230.

Nova Southeastern University shot a 905 (302, 301, 302) and finished second. Fresno State (305, 304, 301) finished fourth at 910, and Nevada (304, 313, 305) rounded out the top five with a 922.

The overall title went to Fresno State's Louisa Lies (66, 76, 64), who shot an even 216.
