USF Women Look to Regroup in Final Round of the 2008 PING ASU Invitational

(Tempe) - USF women's golf shot an 311 in round two of the 2008 PING ASU Invitational at the ASU Karsten Golf Course. The Dons enter Sunday's final round in a share in 17th place in the elite field, featuring no fewer than 14 top-50 teams and 12 of those are in the current top-25.

Three top-10 teams litter the top five with 18 holes remaining. No. 3 USC owns the 36-hole lead at seven-under 569 (281, 288), followed by the host No. 4 Sun Devils at 580 (288, 292). No. 8 Georgia is third at one-582 (289, 293), No. 26 Texas A&M is fourth at 583 (293, 290) and No. 12 Denver rounds out the top-five at 586 (296, 290).

Sophomore Christina Stockton carded the low round of the day for the dons at 74 and is in a share of 47th place at 152 (78, 74), while sophomore Danielle Cvitanov is in a logjam at 42nd with a 151 (76, 75).
