(St. George, UT) - San Francisco fired a 299 in the second round and carded a 304 in the final 18 good for a three-round total of 909 to capture third place at the 2002 BYU Dixie Classic. Junior Susie Laing turned in a new 54-hole low with a 215 (72, 71, 72) to take third place on the individual side. It was the fourth top-five finish in five tournaments for the Lady Dons, who competed in their final tuneup prior to the 2002 West Coast Conference Tournament at Riverbend Golf Course in Fresno, April 15-16.

Joining Laing in the top-10 was freshman Mariko Shimozaki, who fired a 225 (77, 70, 78), good for a share of 10th place. Her two-under 70 was a career low for the Hawaii native. Junior Lisa Chen shot a 232 (79, 77, 76) for a share of 24th place.
