USF Women Place Second In WCC Championships

The USF women shot a final round 309 to finish second with a 54-hole total of 922 in the West Coast Conference golf championships that concluded Tuesday at the Saddle Creek Golf Club in Copperopolis, Calif.
The Dons finished 36 holes behind defending champion Pepperdine (886), who had their five finishers finish in the top five slots paced by Carolina Llano, who shot a 3-over 219.
USF's Mariko Shimozaki placed sixth with a 228, followed by teammates Nikki Jacoby and Jessica Potter with 231.
USF awaits selection to the NCAA regionals that start May 5th.
