USF in 18th Place after Second Round of 2004 NCAA West Regionals

(Palo Alto, CA) - USF women's golf shot a second round 318 at the 2004 NCAA West Regional at the Stanford Golf Course and sit in 18th place with one round left. Senior Kristi Larsen led the Lady Dons with a 76, while sophomore Nikki Jacoby shot 78.
Top-seeded UCLA continues to lead the field, firing a five-over 293 and a two-round score of 575. The #3 ranked Bruins own a four stroke lead against Cal at 579 (290, 293). The host Cardinal are in third with 590 (293, 297), followed by Denver at 601 (302, 299), while Texas (306, 296) and Georgia (304, 298) share fifth place at 602.
San Francisco looks to bounce back in final round action Sunday. The Lady Dons are scheduled to tee off at 11:50 AM at the Stanford Golf Course.
