Lady Dons In 12th Place After Two Rounds of 2003 NCAA West Regionals
May 9, 2003 (Tempe, AZ) - USF women's golf fired a 314 on the second round of the 2003 NCAA West Regional Saturday at Karsten Golf Course. With a two round total of 615, the Lady Dons find themselves in 12th place, seven strokes shy of eighth place. The top eight teams in the region advance to the 2003 NCAA National Tournament held May 20-23 on the Kampen Course of the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Ind.. Senior Susie Laing leads the way for the Lady Dons and shares 17th place heading into the final round with a 147 (73, 76), while sophomore Mariko Shimozaki is tied for 34th at 152 (76, 76). San Francisco tees off the third round of the regional Saturday, May 10 at 11:40 AM. The Lady Dons will be paired with Oregon State and UNLV.
