USF Women's Golf Finishes Fifth in the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic

(Fort Collins, CO) - San Francisco women's golf rebounded from eighth place after two rounds to finish the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic in fifth place on Tuesday afternoon in Fort Collins, CO. The Dons finish at 876 (293, 296, 287).

Junior Danielle Cvitanov had a big hand in the jump, shooting a 6-under 66 in the final round with six birdies, including four in a row on the second through fifth holes. Cvitanov ends the tournament in a tie for seventh after shooting 213 (73, 74, 66).

Sophomore Tinna Johannsdottir (72, 74, 75) and junior Natasha Podmore (74, 73, 74) finish in a tie for 27th, each shooting a total of 221. Junior Diana Hong shot a three-round score of 223 (76, 75, 72), while junior Christina Stockton shot a 226 (74, 76, 76).

Cal earned the team win in the 19 team field, shooting an 846 (284, 273, 289). Shannon Yocum finished with an 8-under 208 71, 67, 70) to win the individual title.

USF returns to action in the Guistina Memorial in Corvallis, OR on September 22-23.
