(Albuquerque, NM) - USF women's golf suffered a disastrous second round at the 2009 Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational Saturday at the UNM Championship Golf Course. The Dons opened with a 295 in the opening round but shot a 311 in the second and enter Sunday's final round in a share of 12th place on the par-73 course playing at 6,187 yards.

Defending West Coast Conference Champion Pepperdine leads the field at 9-under 575 (288, 287), followed by tournament host New Mexico at 4-under 580 (294, 286). Texas Christian is third at 2-under 582 (291, 291), one shot in front of UNLV at 583 (291, 292). Oregon (297, 293) rounds out the top-five at 590.

Seniors Danielle Cvitanov (70, 80) and Christina Stockton (76, 74) share 33rd place with 18 holes remaining. Cvitanov was the only Don to shoot under par in the first 36 holes with an opening round 3-under 70.
