(Albuquerque, NM) - USF women's golf shot a final round 305 securing a 14th place finish at the 2009 Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational Sunday afternoon at the UNM Championship Golf Course. The Dons were paced by senior Christina Stockton who finished in a share of 35th place in the prestigious event.

West Coast Conference rival Pepperdine won the event, leading wire-to-wire with a 17-under 859 (288, 287, 284), followed by tournament host New Mexico at 10-under 866 (294, 286, 286). UNLV (291, 292, 300) and TCU (291, 291, 301) shared third place at 883, while Oregon rounded out the top-five teams at 885 (297, 293, 295).

Stockton shot a 226 (76, 74, 76) on the par-73 course playing at 6,187 yards. Senior Natasha Podmore shot a 1-under 72 in the final round. It was just the second sub-par round for the Dons in the 54-hole event.

San Francisco returns to action when it plays in the 2009 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, hosted by Washington. Tournament play begins Monday, October 5, 2009 in Sammamish, WA.
