(Sammamish, WA) - USF women's golf shot a 301 on day one of the 2009 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational and enter Tuesday's second round in second place, five shots behind Bay Area rival Cal. Three Dons finished in the top-15 on the leader board of the event held at Sahalee Country Club.

Senior Natasha Podmore holds the overall lead in the event with 18 holes in the books after shooting an even-par 72. Senior Christina Stockton is tied for second at 1-over 73. Stockton led the Dons with four birdies while Podmore carded three birdies on the day. Senior Danielle Cvitanov enters round two tied for 12th place at 4-over 76.

Cal leads the event at 8-over 296, followed by the Dons at 301. Stanford is third at 308 and San Jose State is fourth at 309. Tournament host Washington is fifth at 310, one shot in front of No. 8 Pepperdine.

San Francisco returns to action Tuesday with second round action. Tee times start at 10:30 AM and live scoring is available for all rounds courtesy of Golfstat.com. Live scoring can be accessed via the USFDons.com events menu.
