USF Women's Golf Shares Sixth Place Heading into Final Round of Edean Ihlanfeldt

(Sammamish, WA) - USF women's golf shot a 311 in the second round of the 2003 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational to move into a tie for sixth place with a two round score of 616 (305, 311) heading into the final round Wednesday at the Sahalee Country Club. Senior Kristi Larsen led the way for the Lady Dons, firing a one-over 73 to secure a share of ninth place with a 148 (75, 73) on the individual leader board with 18 holes left to play.
Cal holds a tenuous lead with a 591 (285, 306) over Arizona (299, 293) and UCLA (297, 295) who share second place with 592. The Golden Bears held a eight stroke lead heading into the second round. USC (610 - 293, 308) and Oregon (612 - 308, 304) round out the top-five. San Francisco is tied with Stanford (304, 312), four shots out of the top-five.
Larsen turned in a round with 12 pars and three birdies. Junior Mariko Shimozaki shares 19th place with 152 (77, 75).
