(Palo Alto) - USF women's golf struggled in the opening round against an elite field in the 2009 Stanford Intercollegiate and enters Saturday's second round in 14th place. With 36 holes remaining, the Dons look to improve upon their score of 304 on the par-71 Stanford Golf Course.

No. 4 Arizona State leads the pack at 11-under 273 four shots in front of UCLA. Texas is third at 5-under 279, while No. 13 Arizona is fourth at even-par 284. Washington rounds out the top-five teams at 1-over 285.

Senior Danielle Cvitanov is the top Don on the leader board with 18 holes in the books with a 2-over 73, good for a share of 34th place. The reigning West Coast Conference Player of the Year carded a team-high four birdies. Madison Pressel of Texas leads the field after scorching the course for a 6-under 65.

USF tees off action in the second round Saturday, October 17. The Dons go off on No. 10 tee at 9:48 AM.
