Complete Round One Results in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

(Austin, TX) – USF women’s golf opened the 2009 Challenge at Onion Creek with a flourish firing a season-low 15-under 265 in the opening round of the event Monday at the Onion Creek Golf Course. Round two was suspended with two to four holes remaining for the entire field on the par-70 course playing at 5,938 yards.

In a day full of career single-round lows, junior Tinna Johannsdottir went the lowest with a 6-under 64. The Icelander carded seven birdies with just one bogey in the opening round. Senior Natasha Podmore recorded a 5-under 65, finishing the first 18 holes with six birdies and just one bogey.

Senior Danielle Cvitanov added a 4-under 66 with five birdies and one bogey. Fellow senior Christina Stockton shot an even-par 70 to round out the Dons scoring in round one.
