(Richmond, CA) - USF women's golf finished fifth at the 2007 USF/Richmond Country Club Invitational Tuesday at the Richmond Country Club. UC Davis won the event at 907, one shot in front of 36-hole leader Texas Tech on the par-71 course playing at 5,955 yards. UNLV's Therese Kolbaeck won the event at 215 (75, 71, 69), followed by Oregon's Cathryn Bristow at 219 (75, 72, 72). UC Irvine's Selanee' Henderson (75, 71, 76) and the Dons Christina Stockton (76, 73, 73) tied for third place. After entering the final round in fourth place, the Aggies shot the lowest round of the day at 300, just enough to hold off the Red Raiders who shot 302. After UC Davis (308, 299, 300) and Texas Tech (305, 301, 302), UNLV finished third at 911 (311, 296, 304), Oregon was fourth at 918 (308, 307, 303), while the Dons rounded out the top-five at 922 (311, 307, 304). "I would like to thank Richmond Country Club for hosting this event," USF head coach Ria Quiazon said. "The course and the hospitality were exceptional. USF women's golf appreciates the partnership with the Richmond Country Club and is fortunate to call this outstanding golf course home." Senior Chaneng Joe shot 231 (79, 77, 75) and tied for 19th in USF's final event of the Fall season. Stockton finished the tournament with six birdies and 34 par holes to lead the Dons. Fin.
