USF Places 11th at 2000 Pioneer Electronic Bruin Classic
Seventh ranked Pepperdine won their second consecutive tournament and placed three in the top-ten including individual champion Lindsey Wright who posted a one-over
217 for the victory and fired a one-over 75 on the final 18. The Waves shot an 881 (+17), 15 strokes better than runner-up Oklahoma State (896). Host UCLA (899), Texas
A&M (904) and Cal-Berkeley (906) rounded out the top-five in the 16 team field.
USF finished in 11th place after flirting with the leader board in early action posting a 305 in the first round. The Lady Dons finished with a 945 with a second round score of 319 followed by a 321 in the final round. Freshman Lisa Chen provided a highlight for the Lady Dons by converting a hole in one on the 153 yard 15th, using a seven-iron. It was her first career ace and the first for USF this season. USF travels to San Diego to compete in the Lady Aztec hosted by San Diego State beginning March 28 at the Singing Hills Golf Resort in El Cajon, CA.
