USF Women's Golf Competes in 2008 NCAA Regional Preview Beginning Monday

USF women's golf is set to compete in its fourth tournament of the spring season when it competes in the 2008 NCAA West Regional Preview, beginning Monday, March 31 at the Lincoln Hills Golf Club, hosted by Sacramento State. Coming off a record setting performance in their last event, the Dons enter the week ranked No. 45 in the current GolfWeek.com poll. San Francisco set a 54-hole program scoring record at the 2008 UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational, with an 870 (291, 290, 289), good for fifth place in the event. USF now gets an opportunity to play the course which will host the 2008 West Regional. The par-72 course will play at 5,819 yards in the event. Denver enters the 19-team event ranked No. 10 nationally in a field featuring four top-50 teams. Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Northridge, Colorado, No. 10 Denver, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Idaho, Nevada, Northern Arizona, No. 44 Oregon, Sacramento State, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UNLV and No. 48 Washington State comprise the team slate. First round action begins Monday with an 8:00 AM tee time. Final round play starts at 8:00 AM on Tuesday. Live scoring will be available, courtesy of GolfStat.com.
