(San Francisco) - USF women's golf is set for the 2010 NCAA West Regional beginning Thursday, May 6 at the Stanford Golf Course. The Dons look forward to the eighth NCAA postseason berth in program history and the third in four seasons.
San Francisco enters NCAA Regional play ranked No. 41 in the current GolfStat.com poll and No. 39 in the GolfWeek.com poll. Dons head coach Sarah Huarte believes her experienced squad is ready to compete in a talent-laden field.
"We've had two and a half weeks to prepare for NCAA West Regionals and I feel that the team is ready," Huarte said. "We have had our sights set on playing at the National Championship since the beginning of the season and the girls have worked hard to prepare for this single event. Also, we are lucky with the location as it feels like a home event for us. It will be great to have a lot of support out there cheering us on."
