USF women's golf shot a final round of 313 to place in a tie for second at the 2000 Oregon State University Shanico Invitational at the Trysting Tree Golf Club. The Lady Dons, ranked 30th in the preseason poll released by Golf Week, tied with San Diego State with a three-round total of 911 and trailed Bay Area rival and tournament champion Cal (910) by just a single stroke.

San Francisco was paced by sophomore Lisa Chen (70--74--77) who placed in a tie for second, while teammate Susie Laing tied for seventh with a final round 78 (223). Junior Emilie Arnaud (79, 232), sophomore Lyndsey Devenish (79, 242) and freshman Jordan Auten (80, 240) rounded out the USF scoring. Senior Natalie Nakamura shot 80 in the final round.
