(Calimesa, CA) - USF women's golf shot a final round 312 to place third in the 2001 Southern California Intercollegiate at the PGA of Southern California on Tuesday. The Lady Dons could not hold off a charge by tournament host Long Beach State, who entered the final round trailing USF by a stroke. The 49ers shot 305 for a runner-up finish in the event behind #11 Pepperdine, who fired a 293 for the championship.

Junior Susie Laing was the top finisher for USF with a share of fourth place after firing a 76 in the final round for 150. Sophomore Jordan Auten placed tied for seventh after shooting a 76 for 153. It is the second top-10 finish for both Laing and Auten.
