(Sammamish, WA) - USF women's golf is set to compete in its third event of the fall season at the 2008 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, hosted by the University of Washington at the Sahalee Country Club. The Dons look to build on back-to-back top-five showings, the most recent, a third place finish at the 2008 Giustina Memorial Golf Classic, hosted by Oregon State. San Francisco enters the week ranked No. 37 according to GolfWeek.com. Freshman Ashley Johnson will make her Green and Gold debut this week in the Pacific Northwest, joining juniors Danielle Cvitanov, Diana Hong, Natasha Podmore and Christina Stockton. Sophomore Tinna Johannsdottir will not make the trip to Sahalee and is competing for her native Iceland in the 2008 World Amateur Team Championships in Adelaide, Australia at the Grange and Royal Adelaide Golf Clubs. TOURNAMENT FIELD: Brigham Young University, California, Eastern Washington, Idaho, Long Beach State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oregon, Oregon State, San Francisco, Washington and Washington State. TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Teams will play one round per day (Monday-Wednesday), beginning with a split-tee start for at 9:00 AM. The Dons will play with Idaho and New Mexico Monday and will go off the first tee.
