(San Marcos, CA) - San Diego State women's golf turned in the best score of the day, 304, allowing them to finish third in the SDSU Fall Classic with a three-round total of 936. The Aztecs passed up regional rival, Northern Arizona, by one stroke, but were unable to catch Colorado State which finished second (935). UCLA won the classic with a score of 905 (299-298-308).

USF women's golf carded a 313 in the final round at the San Diego Aztec Fall Invitational to place sixth at the event held at the San Marcos Country Club. Sophomore Susannah Laing led the way for USF on the final 18 and fired a 77. Sophomore Lyndsey Devenish shot a 78, while sophomore Lisa Chen and junior Emilie Arnaud shot 79 for the Lady Dons.

With the sixth place showing, San Francisco has finished in the top half of three out of their four Fall 2000 tournaments. The Lady Dons compete in their final event of the fall season Oct. 31 - Nov. 1 when they travel to Hawai'i to compete in the Rainbow Wahine Fall Classic.
