(San Francisco, CA) - San Francisco women's soccer played an aggressive 110 minutes with the Nevada Wolf Pack, to come away with a 0-0 tie on Friday night at Negoesco Stadium. The Dons (2-1-1) earn their first tie of the season against a very physical UNR (0-3-1). USF won the shot total, coming away with a season high 16 against Nevada's 11, but the Wolf Pack was more accurate, with seven on goal to the Dons' five. Senior goalkeeper Kelly Pohle played the entire 110 minutes, saving seven would be goals. Senior midfielder Katherine Kimure led the Dons attack with six shots, four on goal. Also getting in on the action was junior forward Kristina Hall (three), sophomore forward Keonna Robinson (2) freshman forward Nicole Moore (2), sophomore defender Lauren Maris (1), freshman midfielder Kallie Caldwell (one on goal), and freshman forward Molly Hall (1). "This was a solid performance," said head coach Mark Carr. "We played with eight freshmen on the field and I thought our play was worth the win, but I'm happy with the tie." USF returns to action this Sunday, hosting Eastern Kentucky at Negoesco Stadium. Kick off is set for 1:00 PM.
