(Stockton, CA) - San Francisco earned a 1-0 victory over Tennessee-Martin in game one of the Pacific Fall Classic in Stockton, CA on Friday afternoon. UTM (3-2-1) out shot the Dons (3-2-1) 8-7 in the match, but couldn't convert.

Freshman forward Nicole Moore earned her first goal as a Don, an unassisted shot off a free kick just outside of the 18 foot box. Moore and senior midfielder Katherine Kimure led the Dons with two shots a piece. Freshman forward Megan Bucci, freshman defender Lauren Abarca, and senior forward Alexis Mielke each had one in the match.

Dons senior goalkeeper Kelly Pohle played the entire 90 minutes, not allowing a goal and saving three. UTM goalie Ashley Angerer had two saves on the night.

"We had a great performance today," said head coach Mark Carr. "We had another shutout and Nicole's first collegiate goal. We had to work hard for it and I thought we were worth the win. It was a great team effort."

USF returns to action in the Pacific Fall Classic on Sunday, when they meet Hawai'i at 10:00 AM in Stockton.
