USF Women's Soccer Falls to Utah State 3-1

(Logan, Utah) - San Francisco (1-6-0) continued their early season slide on Thursday. The Dons started well out of the gate, but couldn't finish in a 3-1 loss to Utah State (1-4-2).
USF's lone goal came from sophomore forward Lindsea Swisher in the game's opening minutes. With an assist from senior forward Stephanie Gray, Swisher's first goal of the season beat Utah's sophomore goal keeper Kelli Allred to the net.
Don freshman goalie Katie Hodgson had four saves in the match but allowed the three goals, two by junior mid fielder Charity Weston. The third and final goal by Utah was an unassisted score in the 83rd minute by freshman mid fielder Lacey Christenson, who also had an assist on the day.
USF was out shot in the match 23 to 10.
The Dons return to action Saturday in Ogden, Utah against the Weber State Wildcats at 10:00 AM.
