(San Francisco) - UC Irvine's Kim Horn scored in the 105th minute of double overtime to seize a 1-0 decision at USF on a cool Friday night non-conference action at Negoesco Stadium. One match removed from battling Cal State Bakersfield to a scoreless draw, the Dons (0-7-3) played in their second consecutive contest requiring two periods of bonus soccer against the Anteaters (6-3-1).

Although San Francisco owned a modest 5-4 shots advantage in the first half, UC Irvine held an 8-5 edge in the second period and out-shot the Dons 4-2 in the extra sessions. Sophomore forward Samantha Brand tallied a team-high three shots, while sophomore forward Kristina Hall and junior midfielder Katherine Kimure notched a pair apiece.

USF got a solid start in goal from junior goalkeeper Katie Hodgson , who collected five saves on the night. Freshman Danielle de Seriere recorded seven in 104:06 minutes between the pipes for UC Irvine.

Tanya Taylor recorded a match-high four shots for the Anteaters, while Horn and Kate Berrini each added a pair.

San Francisco returns to action when it travels to Fresno for non-conference showdown against Fresno State. Match time against the Bulldogs is set for 2:00 PM at Bulldogs Stadium.
